What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Coordinate the scheduling of patient visits, including ancillary appointments, OR procedures, and imaging exams
- Ensure pre-visit information is accurate to support visit authorization
- Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements to facilitate communication regarding precertification needs
- Provide exemplary customer service to patients and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize scheduling efficiency
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service and/or Patient Access
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Familiarity with insurance processes and scheduling systems
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual skills to better serve diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Previous experience with scheduling software or systems
