2. About the Opportunity:
The HR Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the organization”s human resources functions to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive employee experience. This position manages full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, performance management, and compliance tracking. As the primary administrator of HR processes within the HR management system, the role ensures accurate employee data management and effective workflow handling, directly contributing to a well-supported and efficient workforce.
3. Responsibilities:
• Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and applicant tracking in the HRMS
• Coordinate onboarding by preparing offer letters, new hire paperwork, orientation schedules, and ensuring timely completion of pre-employment tasks
• Respond to employee inquiries on payroll, benefits, timekeeping, HR policies, and systems; escalate issues as necessary
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing across multiple states, updating employment changes, reviewing timecards, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with payroll providers
• Serve as first contact for routine employee support and HRMS assistance, including timekeeping, system access, navigation, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate and track leave management programs such as FMLA, ADA accommodations, Workers’ Compensation, and other statutory or company leaves
• Manage benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and support of the annual open enrollment process
• Oversee employee performance management processes, including form creation and tracking within the HRMS
• Monitor HR and payroll compliance by tracking deadlines, audits, filings, and documentation; assist with compliance reporting and data requests
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records within the HRMS
• Coordinate the annual review, update, and distribution of the employee handbook in collaboration with HR leadership
• Assist with HR reporting and data tracking for internal and external audits
• Support learning and development initiatives, helping to organize and execute programs promoting growth and mentorship
• Provide administrative and project support for HR initiatives, including employee engagement, process improvements, system updates, and compliance projects
• Participate in process documentation and continuous improvement efforts while maintaining confidentiality
4. Requirements:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR support or coordinator role
• Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance functions
• Experience with HR management systems; ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
Preferred:
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Smartsheet
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR, or interest in obtaining certification
• Experience working in a nonprofit association

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range is $62,000 to $67,000 annually
