Process freight documentation from customs authorities and relevant third-party service providers. Conduct activities necessary to complete tasks in accordance with industry regulations, customs laws, or the company’s own standards for running our business. Maintain customs and shipment records, prepare documents and s as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Process customs clearance documentation for our supplier base
Review, Update & Retain all SOP’s pertaining to document preparation and data entry. Ensure they remain updated and implemented efficiently.
Complete weekly audits on all entries
Maintain Customs and shipment records in accordance with company policies.
Organize and file all related documents in accordance with the SOP
Document any inconsistencies and/or issues to present to Logistics Manager
Responsible for special projects as assigned by management
Promotes and maintains principles throughout the facility
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, or one to three years’ experience in office duties, document and information tracking, or an equivalent combination required
COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
Must be able to effectively work with minimal supervision.
Effective interpersonal skills
Excellent communication (written & verbal), customer relations, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills required.
Computer literacy, Microsoft Office products required
