Summary
Setup and Breakdown: Prepare and break down simulation training environments for each scheduled event. This includes arranging the physical space, positioning manikins, setting up task trainers, and ensuring all required medical props and supplies are present and functional.
The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Simulation Center provides state-of-the-art medical training for service members to enhance clinical skills, improve patient safety, and increase medical readiness. The center utilizes a multi-modal approach to deliver realistic and immersive learning experiences. This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines the duties and responsibilities for the Healthcare Simulation Operator who will provide technical and operational support for the center’s training activities.
Technology Preparation
Configure and test all simulation modalities prior to the start of a training event. This includes, but is not limited to:
Work Environment
The primary work environment is a climate-controlled, office-type setting within the simulation center. However, support for training may require work in austere or simulated extreme conditions, including outdoor scenarios, confined spaces, or environments with simulated smoke and loud noises.
Physical Requirements
The position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The contractor must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs unassisted and participate in two-person lifts of up to 150 lbs for the movement and positioning of manikins and equipment.
Emergency Services
On occasion, services may be required to support an activation or exercise of contingency plans outside the normal duty hours.

Qualifications
The candidate assigned to this contract shall meet the following minimum qualifications
Possess at least one (1) year of experience working as a simulation operator in a healthcare simulation center.
Pay: $35,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
