We’re looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead hiring across two of our most critical functions: Go-To-Market and Engineering. You will build these teams from the ground up — owning the strategy, the process, and the people decisions that will define what Peloras becomes. This is a director-level role with full scope. You will lead a team of recruiters, senior recruiters, and recruitment managers, and you will report directly to the founder. The mandate is clear: build world-class GTM and Engineering teams, at pace, without compromising on quality.
What You’ll Do
Own the end-to-end talent strategy for GTM and Engineering — from workforce planning to offer close Lead, develop, and scale a team of recruiters, senior recruiters, and recruitment managers Define hiring frameworks, role profiles, and evaluation criteria in close partnership with leadership Build talent pipelines before roles are open, not after Bring structure, rigor, and velocity to a hiring function that is being built for scale Use data and AI-powered tools to continuously sharpen how we hire
Who You Are
Currently a Director of Talent Acquisition, VP of Talent, Head of Recruiting, or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, working at a startup or scale-up tbsed in the US (preferably San Francisco or New York) that is actively and aggressively hiring right now — you understand what high-velocity recruiting looks like from the inside Experienced leading recruiting teams — you are a multiplier, not just an individual operator
Based in or able to relocate to San Francisco for an on-site role
You know how to attract exceptional GTM and Engineering talent in competitive markets Commercially minded — you understand that every hire is a business decision
