Township of Grosse Ile, Wayne County, MI is soliciting applications for the position of Community Development Assistant Under the direction of the Department of Public Services Director, this part-time position assists the Building Department/Community Development with a variety of clerical and administrative functions. Duties include filing, customer service, notice preparation and distribution, assists with the review, development and issuance of building, electrical, and mechanical permits, schedules inspections, processes bond releases and permit fee calculations, and any additional responsibilities as assigned by the director. Successful candidates will have a history of customer service and clerical experience. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with BS+A software for data entry is highly desirable. Hourly Rate – $13.50. Weekly work hours will not exceed 28.
