Great Plains Beef Hiring for Outbound Logistics Coordinator Full Time

Great Plains Beef is looking for an Outbound Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for processing orders through the system, organizing orders for the warehouse team, making sure orders in the system are sent and finalized before shipping deadlines. The Outbound Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for finding the best way to ship the product, which will include evaluating the cost and weight of the product to be shipped, the freight being charged, organizing, and minimizing shipping costs, and finding the best carrier with the best rates for all loads.

This position will be the main liaison with trucking companies and UPS. As a liaison with carriers, you’ll also work on relaying relevant information to the sales staff, including cost of freight, and relaying and resolving any shipping issues, etc. This position will require constant communication with sales, the warehouse team, and freight carriers to keep everyone up to date. This position will also be working with freight quotes, scheduling loads, and confirming appointments.

Skillset needed for this position will include:

• B.S. in communication, business, logistics, supply chain management, or applicable years of experience preferred
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Communication and high level of customer service skills
• Ability to facilitate quick and precise communications between vendors, freight carriers, and customers
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management skills
• Knowledge of basic transportation regulations
• Previous working experience in High Volume Customer Service Roles, Operations, or Logistics, is a plus
• Excellent Organizational Skills with high attention to details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
