Rough Cut Talent is partnering with a well-funded, venture-backed consumer startup to identify a Founding Growth Lead who wants to help build something from the ground up.

This isn’t a traditional growth marketing role.

We’re looking for someone with a founder mentality who thrives on experimentation, creativity, and execution. Someone who sees an empty whiteboard as an opportunity, not a problem. If you’ve ever launched a side project, built an audience from scratch, orchestrated unconventional partnerships, or found creative ways to generate attention without relying on massive ad budgets, we want to hear from you.

You’ll work directly alongside the founders to determine how the company grows, what channels matter, and which bets are worth making.

Role Description

• Develop and execute unconventional growth strategies from idea to launch
• Build partnerships with creators, brands, communities, and influencers
• Create and test organic acquisition channels that competitors aren’t using
• Launch events, activations, referral programs, partnerships, and growth experiments
• Analyze what works, what doesn’t, and rapidly iterate
• Collaborate closely with leadership and creative teams to bring campaigns to life
• Own growth outcomes from concept through execution

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in growth, marketing, partnerships, community, brand, or startup operations
• Experience at an early-stage startup, creator-led business, consumer brand, or high-growth company
• Strong bias toward action and execution
• Creative thinker who can generate ideas and personally make them happen
• Comfortable operating with limited structure and high autonomy
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take calculated risks
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

Bonus Points

• Experience working with creators or influencers
• Consumer product experience
• Experience launching events, partnerships, community initiatives, or viral campaigns
• Founder, founding employee, or side-project experience
