Farm and Home Publishers Hiring for Graphic Designer Job at Clear Lake, IA Full Time

If you like being creative and staying busy, then keep reading. We work on many different publication platforms with multiple clients simultaneously and on various jobs throughout each day. We are looking for a graphic designer that can multitask with a great understanding of ad design, typography and multiple page layout design. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must. Ability to work well with others. Must be able to read a work order and create the artwork from a written or a sketched out request. Ability to take an existing artwork and update, revise or completely redesign an ad from scratch quickly. The ability to take direction and critiques when necessary are important as well. Good understanding/experience in direct mail and variable data would be beneficial but not necessary. Understanding how to interpret a client’s style guide to adapt and create artwork from is necessary.
This is a fast paced work environment but our team is small, laid back and looking to expand. This is not a remote position, we are located in Clear Lake. That said, it might be possible to work out a hybrid schedule depending upon workflow.__

• Pick up existing designs and alter or redesign based off old designs

• Ability to read a work order
• Ability to follow direction
• Social media
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Comfort with Mac computers
