Description of responsibilities:
ECLC of NJ is seeking an HR Assistant to provide administrative support to various HR functions within the HR department with a concentration in On-Boarding new employees.
Responsibilities will include:
Coordinating all on-boarding of new employees, act as a liaison between HR and our other entities, along with the employee, while gathering required documents and ensuring a smooth communication process.
Review and collection of all new hire paperwork, including I9’s, background checks and various standard forms.
Ability to answer on-boarding questions, file management maintenance and scanning/filing of employee records.
Respond to HR related inquiries from our employees.
Prepares correspondence to employees regarding benefits and any other information related to HR.
Assists in the coordination of new and on-going HR projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience with at least 1-2 years working in an HR dept.
Experience in an HRIS system, Paychex Flex a plus.
Must have the skills to work in MS Office-excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of the HR field, familiar with state/federal programs, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve and maintain complete confidentiality with regard to all HR matters.
Must be authorized to work in the US
