Cosmetic Industry Design / Video Editor

DrJ SkinClinic is a growing brand that focuses its development on the intersection of natural skincare and innovative formulations. Dr J SkinClinic created a broad range of skincare products, both for home use and for professional use, designed to be used for a client in the treatment room as well as following through with effective and sage home care products.Our leading-edge formulations are clinically proven to be gentle yet effective while being suitable for all skin types including post-treatment skin. DrJ SkinClinic is looking to expand its reach in the professional skincare market and seek to distribute through physicians’ and dermatologists’ offices, high-end skincare professionals, and skincare and beauty retail boutiques. We are looking for a Visual Content Creator (Social Media) to join our Marketing team.

The Cosmetic Industry Design / Video Editor (Social Media) will shape the visual aspects of our website, social media, product packaging, conference booths, and more. Your graphics & videos should capture the attention of those interested in skincare products.

Our ideal candidate is one who works with video and audio recording equipment, has experience using video editing software, and enjoys presenting a complete, polished project per deadline. Since we commonly use these videos on social media for promotion, it is important that this person has in-depth knowledge and a passion for social media. Candidates with experience in photography, videography, and graphic design are preferred.

Job Duties

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information to design digital materials, dominantly used in social media.

• Plans social media content curation cycles, prepping at least 30 days in advance.

• Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy, including but not limited to, brand imaging and style.

• Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

• Prepares copy, logos, designs, and art by operating creative design tools like adobe suite.

• Prepares final layout by revising marked-up finished copy and art.

• Curates content opportunities by working in the content strategy process.

• Can shoot video and edit/produce video assets for social media and internal needs.

• Works with copywriters and Art Director to produce final designs.

• Will be responsible for the visual aesthetic and brand engagement for social media.

• Amends designs after feedback.

• Ensures final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

• Records video using professional equipment.

• Post-production video editing.

• Set-up lighting and sometimes audio/music overlay too.

• Maintains equipment and performs other duties that may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Creative experience for Cosmetic industry at least 3 years

• SNS Ad experiences required such static photos, gallery, animation, and video for at least 3 years

• Able to work independently by the guidelines of our project manual

• On Site work is required. (Residence within 20 miles)

• Full time work schedule.

• A strong portfolio.
• A Bachelors degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is a plus but not required.

Graphic Designer Qualifications/Skills

• Strong graphic design skills.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in design, video editing, and social media.

• Layout skills.

• Creativity, flexibility, attention to detail, deadline-oriented.

• Time management skills, communication skills, able to handle rejection

• Familiar with design software and technologies (such as Adobe Suite).

• A keen eye for aesthetics and details.

• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
