This position is responsible for managing the Capital South Region- Prince George’s field services offices in Largo and Montgomery County. The Assistant Regional Director, under the direction of the Regional Director, oversees the staff and daily operations of the offices and programs within the Capital South Region as well as other programs and initiatives assigned. The Assistant Regional Director is responsible for in excess of 40 staff members and resources in two offices and directly supervises five managers as well as some specific programmatic staff.
Some key responsibilities of this position may include, but not be limited, to the following:
Regular work schedule to be flexible and may require telework protocols. Work schedule may involve non-traditional hours to meet the needs of the youth, families, and partners; may include nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Note: An Associate of Arts degree in the social or behavioral sciences or criminal justice from an accredited college or university and three years of experience supervising case management staff may be substituted for the required Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Five years of experience providing case management services to emotionally or socially maladjusted, delinquent, victimized, or exceptional juveniles in a community or residential setting. One year of this experience must have involved the supervision of case management service staff.
Note: A Master’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences or criminal justice from an accredited college or university and two years of experience supervising case management staff may be substituted for one year of the required general experience.
