Under the guidance and direction of the Vice President for Championships, Membership, and Sports Governance, the Director of Sport Operations and Championships assists with the oversight and management of all NJCAA championship events and sports operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree Required. Master’s Degree Preferred.
7 – 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a field related to intercollegiate athletics is preferred.
Demonstrated customer service, organization, leadership, planning, and conflict management.
A good command of Microsoft Office.
The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to establish positive public relations and to interact effectively with staff, member colleges, athletic directors, and student-athletes.
The ability to establish and maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with team members, member colleges, athletic directors, student-athletes and the public.
Problem solving skills, judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in evaluating information.
The ability to write effectively and efficiently.
The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
Must be efficient and organized with a high level of attention to detail
