Company Description
U.S. Global Advocacy & Development Foundation (USGADF) is an independent civil society organization dedicated to the belief that language access is a human right and due process is the foundation of dignity. Our work focuses on three key pillars: Language Access, Civic Engagement, and Immigrant Inclusion.
We engage civic and institutional partners to strengthen access to rights and opportunity for communities facing systemic barriers. As we enter a new phase of strategic growth, we are expanding our leadership to include visionary partners who can help steer our long-term impact both locally and globally.
Role Description
We are seeking dedicated Strategic Board Partners to fill three vital governance pillars. These are active leadership positions (5–10+ hours/month) designed for professionals who want to shape the foundation’s future:
Strategic Financial Lead (Treasurer): Beyond basic bookkeeping, you will provide high-level financial oversight, develop sustainable fiscal strategies, and manage risk for our global expansion.
Governance & Compliance Lead (Secretary): You will ensure the foundation operates at the highest legal and ethical standards, maintaining our nonprofit governance structure and overseeing regulatory compliance.
Fundraising & Partnerships Lead: You will lead resource mobilization efforts, head one fundraising initiative per year, and build strategic alliances with global stakeholders.
Qualifications & Expectations
We prioritize real-world expertise and skill-based contributions over specific degrees. Ideal candidates will possess:
Professional Expertise: Proven experience in legal, finance, strategic fundraising, or international advocacy.
Strategic Mindset: The ability to engage in critical thinking, ask the “bold questions,” and attend quarterly board meetings.
Governance Knowledge: A solid understanding of fiduciary duties (Duty of Care, Loyalty, and Obedience) or a willingness to undergo board leadership training.
Shared Vision: A deep, demonstrable passion for human rights, human dignity, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to steer an organization dedicated to advancing language access and promoting civic engagement. You will work alongside a passionate team committed to upholding human dignity for all and creating meaningful, systemic impact.
How to Apply:
Please submit your resume along with a brief introductory note (200 words or less) outlining why our mission of language access and human dignity resonates with you. Applicants will also be required to answer three screening questions regarding fiduciary duty and network engagement to be considered for an interview.
Qualified candidates will be invited to a 15-minute introductory call with our Founder to discuss our 2026–2027 strategic roadmap.
