Data Quality Analyst

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Quality Analyst to ensure the accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability of data across business systems. This role is responsible for identifying data issues, improving data standards, and supporting enterprise data governance initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-focused, analytical, and passionate about maintaining strong data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess data quality across databases, systems, and reports
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies or inaccuracies
  • Develop and enforce data quality rules, validation checks, and standards
  • Perform data cleansing, normalization, and enrichment activities
  • Create dashboards and reports to track data quality metrics
  • Collaborate with business, analytics, and IT teams to improve data processes
  • Support data governance, compliance, and audit requirements
  • Document root causes, corrective actions, and quality improvements
  • Recommend process enhancements to increase data accuracy and consistency

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, or related roles
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and data reporting tools
  • Good understanding of databases and data structures
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with SQL and querying databases
  • Familiarity with data governance or master data management concepts
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Experience in enterprise or high-volume data environments
