Description CUSTOMER TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST (NIWC-20-0997-W): Bowhead is seeking Customer Technical Support Specialist in San Diego, CA to support NIWC Pacific’s Information Technology Division to provide professional and technical services related to the areas of network security, cybersecurity and infrastructure support. Provides telephone technical support to employees and customers regarding technical aspects of assigned products. Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products. Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures. Escalates complex problems to senior level. Requirements – One and a half (1.5) years of demonstrated experience in an Enterprise Service-Desk environment or three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a Small/Medium Business Service Desk environment – One (1) of the following commercial certifications: a. CompTIA Security + (SY0-301) b. International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) c. CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) d. Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) e. ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) f. Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) – One (1) of the following commercial certifications: a. TS: Configuring Windows 7 (70-680) b. Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 – MCITP (Enterprise Administrator) c. MCITP: Server Administrator on Windows Server 2008 – MCITP (Server Administrator) d. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) e. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2012) – Industry Recognized Customer Service Certification (HDI-CSR) or equivalent – ITIL v3 Foundation Certification SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
