Construction Inspector

Job Summary

• Works under general supervision.

• May assist with training entry-level employees.

• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

• Participates in punch lists, testing oversight, and closeout processes

• Tracks quality assurance progress.

• Candidate will have ability to develop and grow in their career with a successful team providing support and mentorship.

• Assists more senior level engineers and construction managers in carrying outinspection tasks on projects. These include field documentation,inspections, quantity measurements, and other duties as assigned.Performs assignments of varying scope and complexity.

• Uses a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in solving problems.

• Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations.

• Adheres to client requirements for project administration, AECOM methods, AECOM Safety requirements, and AECOM Quality requirements.

• Exercises judgment and applies past experiences to problem solving and ensuring a successful project.

• Supervisor will oversee work completed, but individual must be self-sufficientin completing daily tasks assigned to them.

• University degree in engineering or related experience required.

• CDOT/Heavy Civil/Transportation Construction Management & Inspection

Experience is preferred

Minimum Requirements

HS + 6 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 4 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 4 YORE

Preferred Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

3+ years of CDOT/Heavy Civil/Transportation Experience

Management & Inspection experience.
