This is a full time (0.6 – 0.8 Status), day shift Registered Nurse position in the Heart & Vascular Clinic.
The RN coordinates all patient care activities in the Heart Center. The nursing process is used in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of cardiology patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to Cardiology patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills.
Minimum Required: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed or eligible for Licensure in state of Montana as a Registered Nurse. The RN must be knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, cardiovascular disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills. Current Healthcare Provider BLS upon hire is required. ACLS required within six (6) months of hire. Must be proficient in English. Proficiency in English, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
