A. Responsibilities:
Conduct initial interviews with prospective students.
Complete thorough evaluation reports that include a recommended strategic advising plan for students applying to colleges.
Provide Chinese students with comprehensive consulting services tailored to the US college admissions process.
Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses in relation to their college plans.
Advise on strategies to close gaps and enhance college application profiles.
Guide students in planning extracurricular activities that align with their college ambitions.
Advise students on research opportunities, college major exploration, selection strategies, and college list development.
Mentor students throughout the college application process, including brainstorming and providing feedback on college essays.
Meet online with G8-G11 students once per month, or once per two months.
Meet online with G12 students once per month.
Work collaboratively with Chinese consultants on advising logistics, including meeting scheduling, student academic progress tracking, and communication with students and parents.
B. Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience working full-time as an undergraduate admissions counselor, with a track record of successful admissions to top US universities/colleges.
· Extensive knowledge of the US higher education system and undergraduate admissions process.
· Preferred: Knowledge of the Chinese public and/or IBDP program school systems.
· Must have: Excellent English writing and editing skills.
· Ability to work independently under pressure.
· Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
· Ability to communicate patiently and effectively with both parents and students.
C. Compensation:

D. Duration:
· Initial contract duration is 24 months, with the possibility of extension or revision upon expiration.
