JOB SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler position is responsible for monitoring and managing all Master Schedules and production related activities associated with all customers and product families of Climax on behalf of Manufacturing Operations.

The Master Scheduler interfaces with Production Planners, Machine Shop and Assembly Managers and Leads to maintain priorities, reschedule orders as necessary, and provide support to the Order Fulfillment Planner as needed. The Master Scheduler works with the Supply Chain Planning and Procurement Manager to ensure company strategic goal are actioned and monitored.

The Master Scheduler also shares responsibility with other Planning team members to manage the QRL (Quick Response Lead-Time) Process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage the Master Schedule for Key Standard Products
• Produce and Publish the Standard Products Lead Time report to Sales
• Represent Planning in the daily Production Meeting
• Lead Continuous Improvement activities :
• To evolve Climax from legacy processes in order to align with the industry-recognized best practice of forward scheduling.
• To migrate from MRP, to MRP+ in the Intuitive ERP system, allowing Routing Times to be considered for capacity.
• To develop best practices in the Intuitive ERP system for the use of the CRP (Capacity Resource Planning) Workbench.
• Exploring the use of CTP (Capable to Promise) logic in the Intuitive ERP system to potentially replace the QRL Process.
• Participate in the reengineering of the RMA process, to include Service and Repair orders.
• Communicate to the Order Fulfilment Planner when orders can pull in or need to push out so appropriate reasons can be recorded.
• Act as a backup to others on the Planning Team by cross-training with them to protect the needs of the business for Operations processes.
• Recommend orders for partial shipment when gating items are preventing the full order from shipping on time.
• Provide support to the Supply Chain Planning Manager for ad-hoc reporting or Planning task management.
• Monitor the Operations Management internal email box to respond to Sales inquiries on delivery.
• Participate and support S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) as it applies to factory capacity and capability.

KEY RESULTS

• Work Order records which reflect accurate projections that allows the company to correctly sequence and prioritize work with minimal volatility and disruption.
• Improved relationships across the organization that fosters trust and integrity in the Supply Chain Planning organization.
• Refined systems and methods to continually improve Planning and Supply Chain processes so that the company can better manage customer needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• BA/BS college degree or its equivalent in relevant experience
• At least two (2) years of experience in either Planning, Customer Service, or order entry in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Demand Planning and ERP software related to demand and inventory planning
• Strong computer related skills, including advanced Windows and Microsoft Office Suite capabilities
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills with the ability to extract, compile, and analyze large volumes of data on a regular basis
• Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process
• Good facilitation skills are required

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
