SALARY – $51,500/year; ($55,800 upon completion of basic training) plus full benefits.

Up to $12,000 incentive for lateral transfers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

• Age 21 by POPS testing date
• U.S. Citizen
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Good driving, police, personal, & employment record
• Male applicants between 18 & 26 must be registered with the Selective Service

• Tuesday, June 28 – Open House BG Police Headquarters (911 Kentucky St)
• June 25 – July 9 – various LESI and POPS Physical Testing Dates
• Wednesday, July 13 – last day to submit packets
• August 15 – 19 – Polygraph/Psychological Evaluations/Fingerprinting
• Septemer 12 – 16 – Interviews & Essential Skills Testing
• Tuesday, October 18 – Board of Commission Appointment
• Monday, October 24 – First day of Academy
