Chief Information Officer Luminis Health
Reports to: President – Luminis Health
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for leading Luminis Health in its
strategic and tactical information systems, telecommunications and biomedical
engineering initiatives. The Chief Information Officer serves the Luminis
system and all its entities. Participates at the operations level with the
Luminis leadership and the development of the System’s mission, strategic
plans, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans and policies. Ensures
the achievement of short and long range goals and implementation of basic
operational strategies within the framework provided by the President, Luminis
Health. Oversees all information system matters related to the entities, and
either personally or through other staff, performs the essential functions

a system. Develops business case justifications and cost and benefit
analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Develops plans for
implementation of new projects, and coordinating process with project
resources and external entities including government, health regulators
(MHA, HSCRC and CRISP), vendors and partner organizations to enhance
patient health information for the delivery of quality and efficient
interfaces, and other groups having significant potential impact on the
functioning systems which would affect patient care at the system level.

interdepartmental problem solving mechanisms, educating, energizing and
motivating the work force.

Ensures that IT staff utilizes technology to provide users with a swift,
accurate, and secure method to access information, and services users in

Physical Demands –
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10

job is rated for light work.
