Chatter Buzz Media Hiring for Web Developer – WordPress and WooComerce Job at Remote Full Time

At Chatter Buzz, our mission is to help businesses and brands grow by providing innovative and
efficient integrated brand marketing through insights, ideas, and technologies.
We have some new exciting things this 2022 and are looking for a new member of our Buzz family.
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer with proven development skills involving writing
front-end markup, back-end programming, CMS implementation, and customization.
We build most of our websites utilizing custom WordPress & WooCommerce. So knowledge within
these platforms are extremely important.
The Web Developer will interface with our internal project managers, designers, content writers, and
external clients.
Applicants local to Florida are preferred, but this position can be full-time remote within the U.S.

• Integrate custom Figma designs into WordPress
• Strong experience developing WordPress custom themes, setting up hooks, and using ACF
• Experience using page builders such as Beaver Builder, Elementor & WP Bakery
• Build e-commerce websites using Woocommerce
• 5+ years (preferred) of experience with all aspects of web development including HTML5,

CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and Bootstrap, along with API integrations.

• Experience with PHP and integrating code into PHP applications
• Experience in using Bitbucket or Github
• Experience managing web hosting accounts, servers, databases, cPanel & understanding of

how DNS works

• Understanding of web ADA compliance and meeting accessibility coding guidelines
• Independently manage the development of websites, landing pages, and email newsletter

coding. (HTML / CSS)

• Manage and communicate overall status and project results to internal and external clients,

management, and other project stakeholders as necessary

• Identify, optimize and document repeatable processes in support of Chatter Buzz web

development process.

• Effectively participate and contribute to cross-functional teams to define and successfully

deliver digital marketing programs

• Support SEO activities and SEM programs, working closely with a marketing campaign

owners, demand generation resources, and external agencies

• Work closely with internal clients to ensure digital practices are consistent with corporate

digital strategies, brand guidelines, and best practices

• A solid understanding of at least one of the following areas is highly beneficial; e-commerce,

user experience design, or website analytics management

Required Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Digital Media/Web
Design. Web Development or related field with at least 5 years of experience in WordPress
development, e-commerce, and web development.
Specific examples and a portfolio of web development are required.

• Extensive Bootstrap knowledge is a MUST
• Gulp or Grunt Experience
• Git Management
• Front-end and back-end development experience.
• Have used design software such as Photoshop, Sketch, or Figma
• Strong knowledge in HTML5, CSS, PHP, and FTP.
• Strong knowledge of ADA Compliance and coding for accessibility
• Strong WordPress & Woocommerce development experience
• Strong sense of design quality and understanding of visual and UI/UX disciplines and

principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
