*Need to come to Scottsdale office in the first week to know the team. After that, can work REMOTE and will need to come to the office 1 – 2 times a month. Must reside within 2 hours from Company’s Scottsdale location.

Our client is looking for a Senior Back End Systems Developer to join their team. Seeking a Senior backend engineer who would possibly like to move into an architect role, or somebody who’s done some architecture work but never had the title.
Person needs to be somebody who was a backend developer (C#/.NET) and then Azure SQL (Prefer .NET.core, not looking for candidate who is heavy with ASP.NET)

Education/Skills/Experience

• 8-10 years of software development
• 6+ years of C#, .NET Core, WebAPI/REST, JSON, XML, MVC, T-SQL, Entity Framework
• Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS)
• Azure DevOps source control and work item management
• Azure service administration and debugging
• Azure build/deployment pipelines
• Azure Application Insights
• Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor. Demonstrates unimpeachable integrity and accountability.
• Communicates professionally in all circumstances

Essential Functions

• Develop, test, implement, and maintain custom software solutions and complex systems
• Implement automated testing for custom software solutions
• Create and automate Azure build and deployment pipelines
• Ensure delivered solutions meet team supportability and maintainability standards
• Independently manage small to medium sized projects
• Ensure appropriate measures are taken to keep systems secure and support regulatory compliance
• Write custom T-SQL to perform ad-hoc queries and create/modify database stored procedures, functions, etc.
• Use Entity Framework to retrieve and manipulate application data
• Design and model SQL Server databases
• Proactively monitor and maintain database performance through code optimization and index maintenance
• Design and implement ETL and transactional data migrations and integrations
• Install, configure, and maintain on-prem and Azure SQL Server instances
• Develop custom s for both third-party and custom solutions
• Proactively monitor and support deployed solutions, troubleshoot and resolve production software issues
