General Accountability
The mechanical engineer is responsible for the development and verification of assigned projects for Cardiac Insight’s line of ambulatory cardiac monitoring products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Develop, test, and support mechanical designs for the company’s ECG products.
- Create and maintain mechanical engineering documentation, including drawings, protocols, labeling and reports.
- Interface with sales, customers, marketing and manufacturing with respect to mechanical engineering issues.
- Create strategies for the verification of mechanical designs and participate in verification activities.
- Maintain currency in assigned areas of medical packaging, materials and adhesives
- Contribute to risk management activities such as DFMEA, PFMEA and hazard analysis.
- Perform all duties in compliance with the quality management system; actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the QMS.
- Provide direct support and interface with customers and manufacturing.
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years’ mechanical engineering experience in a regulated industry
- Experience packaging small medical devices, including biocompatible adhesives
- BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering
- Fluency with SolidWorks.
Other Requirements
- Must be an enthusiastic, hands-on team member.
- Proven ability to deliver designs working alone or in conjunction with internal and external resources.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
