Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst Full Time

Metro Ambulance is a growing healthcare transportation company providing safe, reliable, and compassionate non-emergency medical transportation services throughout New Jersey. We are seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst to become the organization’s data and analytics leader. This role will be responsible for transforming data into actionable business insights, building executive dashboards, automating workflows, and helping management make data-driven decisions.

Position Summary

The Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst will work directly with company leadership to develop reporting, analytics, and automation solutions across operations, billing, finance, fleet management, and human resources.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building Power BI dashboards, writing SQL queries, automating processes with Microsoft Power Platform, and translating business challenges into practical technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create executive-level KPI dashboards and operational scorecards.
• Develop reports that provide visibility into:
• Transportation volume and utilization
• Revenue and collections
• Payer performance
• Customer and referral source trends
• Staffing and overtime
• Fleet utilization and maintenance
• Operational productivity

Data Management & Analytics

• Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, and data models.
• Build automated data pipelines using Power Query and Microsoft tools.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and operational inefficiencies through data analysis.

Workflow Automation

• Design and implement business process automations using Microsoft Power Automate.
• Automate recurring reports, notifications, approvals, and workflows.
• Partner with department leaders to streamline manual processes.
• Support development of Power Apps and other low-code business solutions.

Business Partnership

• Work directly with leadership to identify reporting needs and business priorities.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for reporting, analytics, and automation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or related roles.
• Strong experience with:
• Power BI
• Power Query
• SQL
• Microsoft Excel
• Experience building dashboards and data visualizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Success in This Role

Within the first year, this individual will help Metro Ambulance:

• Establish a centralized reporting environment.
• Create executive dashboards used by leadership.
• Automate manual reporting processes.
• Improve visibility into operational and financial performance.
• Develop actionable insights that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer service.
