Job Description
As our Manufacturing and Process Engineer, you will be responsible for learning the current standard of our manufacturing processes and then working to improve them. Utilizing your skills in processes improvement you will design and develop production layouts for our company’s manufacturing facility to increase productivity and quality standards.
Responsibilities
The following is a basic list of responsibilities for our Manufacturing and Process Engineer. Tasks may be added or modified at management’s discretion:
· Develop product knowledge of current parts/products and how they’re manufactured
· Design production processes layouts to improve efficiencies
· Collaborate with the manufacturing team to coordinate design changes
· Make recommendations for capital equipment purchases with a ROI plan
· Create and lead the modernization of our manufacturing process including CNC machining, robotics, and part handling
· Develop and maintain production data, equipment, tooling, and programs
· Daily troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
· Lean Manufacturing Ambassador
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required (Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred)
· 1 – 3 years of practical manufacturing experience specifically in an engineering role
Schedule
Given the seasonality of our business, our operating hours and our employee schedules change to accommodate the spike in demand for our product and service. The following is the schedule for the Engineering Team:
· Monday – Friday 7:00a – 3:30p
Compensation and Benefits
Salary:
Base Salary Range $70,000 – $80,000 annually
Additional Compensation $5,000 – $15,000 annually
Personal Paid Leave (PTO):
The Personal Paid Leave or Paid Time Off (PTO) for this position is subject to the following schedule:
· (START DATE), 2023 – 40 Hours
· January 2024 – 40 Hours
· January 2025 – 64 Hours
· January 2026 – 80 Hours
· January 2027 and Beyond – 96 Hours
We also offer six paid holidays and one floating holiday
Insurance:
We offer a Platinum HMO and Gold HMO healthcare plan through Blue Care Network. The Gold HMO is the base medical plan and employees have the option to buy up to the Platinum plan. Dependents are covered at 50% by the employer for the Gold HMO Plan.
We offer Principal Vision and Dental insurance at the employee’s cost (Less than $10.00 per week)
SIMPLE IRA:
We provide a company-matched SIMPLE IRA through Edward Jones. The company will match up to 3% of the employee’s annual wage for their IRA.
Bonus Program:
Bulmann Dock & Lift has a semi-annual discretionary bonus program known as Stake In The Outcome (SIO). Our SIO plan is based on our yearend profitability and distributions are made when levels are achieved. Levels are determined at the beginning of our fiscal year.
