The Boeing AvionX organization is seeking an Early Career Systems Engineer (Level 1) to join our team in Plano, Texas, Hazelwood, Missouri, Berkeley, Missouri, Long Beach, California, or Mesa, Arizona to support AvionX product lines.

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. Who You Are

You are an Early Career Systems Engineer or upcoming College Graduate with a passion for systems and component design and electronics. Your school curriculum is an important basis for the activities associated with this position. You have a strong technical background, with a desire to apply this to the development of new and cutting-edge avionics systems and components. You also have strong interpersonal skills to work with subject matter experts as well as peers on the team to create deliverables.

Position Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts, develop or modify basic hardware and software designs for avionics and electrical systems based on defined requirements.

Perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.

Assist in monitoring suppliers’ performance to ensure compliance with requirements.

Support resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.

Research basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (systems, electrical, computer or software), cybersecurity or computer science by the end of June 2022

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Cumulative 3.0 of higher GPA (Please list your cumulative GPA clearly on your resume)

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
