Position Responsibilities :
Contribute to development and deployment of automated test equipment for lab and factory automation
Contribute to development of PAC 3 embedded software
Work in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills.
Use your talents to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs.
Responsible for developing technical products, plans, documentation, and briefings in support of program requirements.
This position allows limited telecommuting. (Hybrid) The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Huntsville, AL)
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree or higher in either software or computer engineering or physics or Elect. Eng.
At least 1 or more years of programming experience, school project or internships using one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, C#, python
Must have operating system knowledge of LINUX or Windows
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):One or more of the following are desired:
Master’s degree in software, electrical, or systems engineering
Experience with missile defense sensor algorithms
Experience with sensor systems for complex conversion of analog and waveform data
Familiarity or experience with large integrated simulations on distributed machines or virtual machines
Some experience or school project involving high speed flight
Work experience or solid knowledge of embedded software and operating systems such as VxWorks.
Some work experience or knowledge of telemetry protocols and testing
Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
