As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, Guidance and Control (G&C), systems analysis and performance specialists engineers, you will complete early stage conceptual level designs of reusable rocket stages as well as the design and verification of the New Glenn G&C system. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the design from the conceptual level stage, through detailed design, verification and validation and then into flight. You will develop and deliver these algorithms in a model-based development environment. These algorithms will be added into a high fidelity, 6 DOF simulation environment that emulates the flight of the New Glenn rocket from launch to landing (stage1) and payload deployment (stage 2).
In your day to day work, you will collaborate with G&C team members and other systems analysis specialists who have a passion for developing innovative system concepts, algorithms, software and processes. You will learn from them, and they from you through joint assignments and from open peer review. You will also collaborate with vehicle subsystem designers and systems analysts to develop software interfaces and to define G&C requirements for spacecraft sensors, effectors and automation systems.
