Skills and Qualifications:

Required-

• 10+ years’ experience: Working as Designer/Engineer in and around steel and/or aluminum mechanisms, hydraulics, DC power and control systems. Participating in product development, manufacturing engineering or similar representative environment. Optimizing for manufacturability

• 3+ years’ experience: Managing direct reports, Leading product development, process improvement and redlines

• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Ability and desire to succeed in a team environment
• Ability to clearly communicate both written and verbal instructions
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity and ability to use fabrication tools and equipment
• Passions outside of work
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number

Preferred-

• Experience in Maritime or heavy equipment industry
• BS in Engineering
• FEA analysis
• CadLink Software
• Solidworks PDM
• CE certification process

Job Description:

• Lead, develop and maintain Design and Engineering team
• Own and execute product development vision, process, and timeline
• Develop and monitor annual department budget
• Support- sales, service, production, and customer service as needed
• Collaborate with marketing for product manuals, renders and other needs
• Attend occasional trade shows and product launches as needed
• Work closely with production to optimize processes and techniques

Work Location/Hours:

• Basta Global Headquarters is in SeaTac Washington- nicely remodeled office and close on-site parking
• Normal working hours 7am-4pm Monday-Friday
