Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Counsel based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Assistant Counsel will provide legal counsel to support the agency’s regulatory and enforcement efforts within the cannabis industry. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legislation, regulations, and legal documents, offering legal advice on compliance and operational issues, and representing the agency in legal proceedings. The role also requires coordinating with stakeholders, conducting legal research, and ensuring policies align with New York State cannabis laws. While the position is based in New York City, some remote work is permissible.
