At Arbour Hospital we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our staff. We’re seeking a Human Resources Generalist /Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us source, identify, screen, and hire individuals for various roles in our company.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 2-3 years’ experience in general human resources functions including policies, procedures, programs, employee relations, training and development, talent acquisition, proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems, and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills as you’ll often be asked to work closely with others across different departments.
Objectives of this Role
Input into overall hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals
Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind
Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives
Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience
Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations
Provides human resources support to the facility by managing all personnel issues within corporate policies and procedures and all federal and state guidelines.
Prepares personnel files and maintain personnel records in accordance to facility and corporate personnel policies and guidelines.
Audits personnel files, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
Conducts employee benefit orientation, open enrollment meetings, and enroll employees in health insurance and 401 (k) when eligible.
Coordinates with Corporate Human Resources and prepare requested reports for the Corporate Human Resources Office and HR Director as requested.
Validates and updates licenses of all current employees through the appropriate licensing board and makes sure their files are updated.
Obtains appropriate paperwork for employee benefit authorizations, and input all personnel information and all status changes for current employees, update in HRIS and inform payroll accordingly
Provides consultation and training to facility management regarding employee relations issues, counseling and termination procedures as required
Monitors performance appraisal reminder system and mechanisms for processing salary transactions and recordkeeping.
Mails termination paperwork (includes COBRA and Savings plus Distribution packages) to all discharged employees via certified mail.
Responds to all employee complaints in a professional manner, and assists with conducting preliminary investigations.
Responds quickly to all unemployment compensation claims received for prior facility personnel
Responds quickly to all Employee Accident Reports based on related policy
Audits all workers compensation claims and LOA claims, ensuring appropriate completion of paperwork, while monitoring status of all claims.
Develops and monitors procedures to assure the timely and accurate processing, flow and documentation of personnel transactions (LAWSON).
Completes all employment verifications for current and terminated employees through Work Number.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Determine selection criteria for candidates by liaising with managers and other members of staff
Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn/Indeed and/or other professional networks
Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
Identify and refine down the most suitable talent from available candidates
Assess candidates’ information, including C.Vs., portfolios and references
Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
Skills and Qualifications
Work experience in talent acquisition or similar roles
Familiarity with social media, C.V. databases, and professional networks
Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
A keen understanding of the requirements for each role in the company
Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or similar preferred
2-3 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar
