Export Logistics Specialist

General Purpose of Job:

The Export Logistics Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing international export orders submitted to Andersen Products. Serve as a liaison between international distributors and the Vice President of Sales, along with the Andersen Products Sales director. This individual must work closely with the accounting department regarding payments, credits, accounts receivables, credit holds and balances. General knowledge of international markets.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in logistics or materials management preferred

· Two or more years’ experience in international distribution and transportation preferred, including HazMat transportation, and working in both office and warehouse environments

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities

· Proactive and goal-oriented self-starter with an attention to detail, customer service orientation, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills

· Well-developed organizational, problem-solving, and reporting skills to enable the coordination and completion of multiple tasks

· Bilingual/Multilingual applicants are encouraged

Key Activities and Responsibilities

· International export orders (equipment, consumables, and parts)

Receive and process sales orders for customers and Canadian warehouse

• Provide packing lists to the Shipping Department/Warehouse
• Complete Exportation Documents (eg, export invoice, packing list, bill of lading, customs invoice, customs packing list, United States – Mexico – Canada Agreement Certificate of Origin if applicable, relevant Quality Control Certificates, and Dangerous Goods International Maritime Organization/IMO if applicable)
• Arrange shipment based on customer requirements
• Most cost-effective and efficient means
• Meet deadlines and transportation requirements
• Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
• Send Exportation Documents to the customer and enter into Zoho (Customer Relationship Management/CRM)
• Notify International Customer Service once shipment is picked up to invoice the customer

o Maintain international warehouse inventory by transferring product from domestic warehouse and allocating items to sales orders

Reports and Meetings

• Open Sales Orders by Item and Inventory Stock Status Reports
• International Planning Meeting
• Daily SCRUM regarding prioritized shipments and tasks that need to be completed
• Planning meeting with our international office
• Inventory Production Document, including container load status

o Backup for International Customer Service Representative

Liaison & Support

o International distributors (including Andersen Limited) and Canadian warehouse

o Vice President of Business Development and Domestic Director of Sales, including coordination of international and domestic inventory

o Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

· Collaboration and Coordination with Shipping Department

o Shipping type (eg, Ground, Air, and Sea (containers)

o Process all shipments through electronic system (Shipping Solutions) to ensure compliance

• Customs paperwork needs to be reflective of invoice and shipping charges
• Generate export documentation ensuring country import/export regulations are met

o Maintain and strengthen relationships with forwarders as well as manage organization processes including quote requests, arrival times, bookings, and the execution of proper documentation so that timely delivery is met

o Inquire about any updated export regulations and/or commercial trade terms. This includes Incoterms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, IATA, AES, Trade embargos and any other pertinent regulations

· Work closely with the International Customer Service Representative

o Order processing

· International regulatory requirements and processing of requests for submissions by country

o Product Registration and Regulations

• Compile regulatory affairs requirements and assure customer governmental compliance
• Coordinate with necessary departments/entities in the request of required documentation to provide to clients for the update of import licensing and regulatory requests
• Send regulatory documentation to be properly stamped by the NC Secretary of State and/or embassy and Chamber of Commerce if applicable
