OVERVIEW
The Senior Corporate Packaging Engineer provides technical expertise in supporting ASR-Group’s strategic goals and objectives to be a world-class sugar refiner. This position supports the strategic goal of improving our packing capability and transforming our company into a more value added product mix away from bulk commodities.
The primary contribution of the Senior Corporate Packaging Engineer is a technical resource for the various packaging departments in the Enterprise. He/she will work with dry food packaging operations to include, but not limited to the following packaging equipment: Vertical form fill fillers, baggers, sealers, scales, labelers, case formers/loaders, conveying, palletizing and robotics. The position will also be responsible for identifying, leading, developing, and executing solutions for quality and performance improvements for the packaging department. This is a hands-on role that will require effective interfacing with project engineering, operations, suppliers, customers, and OEMs, as well as cross-functional internal teams that may be global in makeup and responsibility.

This position requires an employee to stand, walk and sit; navigate stairways and ladders; carry moderate loads and/or work at a computer for extended periods of time. Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and to outdoor elements is also required. Potential to be exposed to heights. Travel (sometimes with extended stays) to other sites will be required as project assignments necessitate. Understands required safety and environmental expectations and can comply with utilizing PPE, etc. in conducting work
