The major responsibilities of this position are the following:

• Develop an understanding of our product and its components to create accurate shop drawings and order acknowledgements

• Follow a project from start to finish (quote, order, install and punch)

• Read, interpret, and understand client instructions, bid sets, specifications, and construction drawings for our scope of work

• Modify architect-provided AutoCAD floorplans

• Draw shop drawing in proprietary program

• Help process orders internally by providing project-specific details for order entry and reviewing factory-generated acknowledgements for accuracy

• Interact with and assist project managers, factory/warehouse, sales reps, dealers, general contractors, architects and designers, and installers throughout the entire lifecycle of a project

The following skills are required to successfully perform this position:

• Knowledge of Bluebeam/Adobe PDF

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 or higher

• Knowledge of basic building codes, and the ability to review bid sets and construction drawings for relevant information

• Exhibit competency using Microsoft Office Suites

• Exhibit high degree of accuracy and organization

• Sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time

• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism for communicating directly with clients including internal departments, architects, designers, salespeople, installers, and dealers

• Be able to use discretion handling confidential information about our clients and proprietary company information

• Exhibit ability to follow-through on multiple projects in various stages of development

• Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight time frames

The following experience(s) or accreditation are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related filed
• At least 3 years of experience in CAD design

The following experience(s) or accreditation is not a requirement but a plus:

• Experience working in commercial interiors

• Experience working with architectural wall systems

• Experience working in construction or construction-related position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
