SUMMARY:

Let’s work together to enhance the culture and professionalism of systems and processes to attract, develop and retain employees. You’ll get all the basics (hiring, orientation, benefits) in shape and together we’ll build on them. We’ll implement “higher order” strategic contributions to meet company goals. Programs like succession planning, cultural surveys will evolve as we streamline HR processes will give the leadership team and employees the support to double in size: )

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the full cycle of recruiting and employment process to fill vacant positions for Exempt/Non-Exempt and Internship positions

• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals

• Implements Company’s culture for employee engagement and retention.

• Keeps records of personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and termination

• Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety and sexual harassment

• Performed benefit administration, including Leave of Absences, PTO accruals and Worker’s Compensation

• Participates in the payroll processing and employee increases.

• Develop and implement personnel policies, Employee Handbook and job descriptions

• Approved appropriate resolution of employee relations issues with discretion and confidential

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned (like cutting up pizza’s for 100 employees!)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline

• Obtained Human Resources Management certifications
• 2-3 years experience in a Human Resource position

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Genuinely enjoys working with employees at all levels within the company
• Provides services supporting the Company’s business goals
• Strong knowledge of Federal and State laws

• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written

• Superb organizational and time management skills (a must have!)

• Effective knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Payroll systems, like Paylocity.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work as a team player

• Uses good judgement and always tactful and diplomatic when dealing with confidential information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Hayward, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 4 years (Preferred)
• Human resource: 2 years (Required)
