Job Description

Alegria Community Living is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home environment of their choice. Since 2009 Alegria’s mission has been to create and sustain high-quality community living services and supports which are stable, secure, and lasting.

The Recruiter is responsible for all areas of recruiting primarily of Direct Support Professionals, front line staff at Alegria providing support services to our clients, adults and seniors with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This will be achieved through collaborating with leadership and hiring managers to develop local recruiting plans utilizing traditional and non-traditional sourcing strategies and developing new, creative recruiting ideas.

Specific Duties:

• Manage the full recruiting cycle from sourcing to offer and collaborate with all teams in the organization to anticipate all evolving staffing needs.
• Collaborate closely with managers and executive team on current recruiting needs and to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives..
• Strategically build and maintain an ongoing distribution network of job placements and postings utilizing in-person outreach, research, cold-calling, and distribution network that will attract potential candidates.
• Screen applications and selects qualified candidates.
• Attend and participate in college and other job fairs and recruiting sessions.
• Assist in tracking and reporting key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity.
• Follow up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruitment process.
• Participate in company meetings as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

• Must have a solid understanding of the end-to-end recruitment life cycle processes.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of data mining and Internet research.
• Convey easily and quickly any message; Speak clearly and persuasively in all situations; listen attentively and seek clarification; Respond well to questions; Maintain professional nonverbal communication corresponding to situation.
• Write clearly and informatively; Present data effectively; Able to read and interpret complex written information.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• At least 2 years of Staffing/Recruitment experience, strong understanding and ability to hire staff for permanent placement required.
• Experience in general HR or administrative functions a plus.
• Must have experience in being collaborative, thoughtful and creative.
