Air Products & Chemicals Inc. in Pasadena, TX seeks Process Controls Engineer to provide process control systems engineering support for Air Products hydrogen producing facilities and Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Oxygen pipelines. Perform long-term planning and daily support of the control systems for programming, preventive maintenance and migration. Implement changes to the control logic, operator interface system changes, database maintenance, documentation of these changes and direct operator support. Deploy process automation sensors and control elements used in industrial manufacturing. Support maintenance teams diagnosing and solving failed hardware. Write code for multiple OEM control systems. Provide programming and code level changes as needed to address process safety, reliability and productivity issues. Provide long term planning and engineering proposals for expansion, upgrades and obsolescence projects. Participate with prioritization of activities to ensure tasks are addresses in a timely and business focused fashion. Apply cyber security best practices to process automation systems.
Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 2 years of experience deploying process automation sensors and control elements used in industrial manufacturing; and writing code for multiple OEM control systems. 1 year of experience: performing process control engineering for operating chemical plants or pipeline systems; and applying cyber security best practices to process automation systems. 25% national travel required.
