A full-time Nurse position is available in Latrobe, PA.

Monday-Friday daylight hours

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor policies and procedures regarding Medication Management
• Educate clients, staff, and families about disease processes, medication, and treatment.
• Conduct health screenings
• Conduct Medication Inspections
• Conduct Infection Control Surveillance and Prevention audits
• Monitor the management of medications for youth in group living arrangements
• Administer medication to residents according to policy
• Monitor’s health status of youth- provide head to toe assessment with recommendations as needed

• Facilitates training for staff and management of those trainings
• Educates parents, staff, and clients on medication and health concerns

• Documents required information and completes required reports in timely manner
• Intervenes in crisis situations with appropriate counseling as necessary, including Safe Crisis Management.
• Sympathetic understanding of maladjusted children
• Position is for a secure setting, ability to adjust to different environments to provide nursing coverage as needed
• Ability to act independently and make sound medical decisions

Education: License Practical Nurse OR Registered Nurse license required. Must be registered in the state of Pennsylvania.
