Lead Teacher Responsibilities & Duties
- Internalize and deliver lesson plans aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for the assigned content and grade level.
- Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs
- Assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
- Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
- Be able to interpret and explain student data and progress monitoring
- Experience using technology and multimedia resources in the classroom
- Stay current on best practices and developments in education
Qualifications
Lead Teacher Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid Texas state certification or license as a teacher. ESL supplement preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
