1.0 Probationary Art Teacher – Transit Middle Full Time NEW

• Art classroom teacher, responsible for instruction of the 5 th – 8 th grade curriculum.
• Creating a positive learning environment
• Developing long and short-range plans
• Implementing plans effectively
• Formative and summative assessment of student progress
• Administrative duties such as attendance, parent communication, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A valid New York State teaching certificate in Art
• Demonstrate successful classroom experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work with peers and supervisors
• Ability to motivate and instruct students in developing problem solving skills

ANNUAL SALARY: $44,840 – $53,700 Per WTA Contract
