National Director of Supply Chain Full Time NEW

David Weekley Homes is seeking a National Director of Supply Chain to oversee and optimize the procurement and category management processes across all regions, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of materials and products essential for home construction.

This leadership role is responsible for building and managing a team focused on category management and driving strategies to reduce costs while supporting the company’s goals for quality, efficiency, and growth.

• Execute multi-year category strategies across major spend areas.
• Drive structural cost improvement and sustained savings.
• Oversee consolidated reporting of cost movement and risk exposure.
• Lead and develop a team of National Category Managers.
• Strengthen supplier performance management through standardized KPIs.
• Advance analytics, reporting capabilities, and sourcing tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience.
• Proven success managing large, multi-category national spend.
• Previous experience in homebuilding or new-home residential construction-adjacent industry.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost improvement.
• Experience leading teams in a decentralized, multi-market environment.
• Strong financial and operational acumen.

Additional Information

Work Location: This role is based at our corporate office in Houston, TX. The person in this role must live in or be willing to relocate to Houston.

Travel: Position requires approximately 20-30% travel annually, including at least two overnight trips per month.
