Company Description
Audacity Sports is a mental performance academy for youth athletes — built on community, workshops, and live trainings that help athletes and families develop the mental skills that competition demands. Our academy is powered by the research-based RISE Method™ — a four-step framework covering 159 situations with over 2,400 coaching prompts that helps athletes regulate emotions, build self-awareness, reframe challenges, and take intentional action.
Now we’re building heyCoach — an agentic AI layer designed to scale mental performance coaching and put it in the pocket of every parent, athlete, and coach.
Audacity was originally an apparel company that gave back a portion of the profits to youth sports. We are continuing that tradition as we believe that building a brand is equally and more important that the tech. We’re building a culture at Audacity Sports.
Role Description
We’re looking for an Apparel Design Intern who lives at the intersection of sport, identity, and design. At Audacity Sports, apparel isn’t merch — it’s culture. It’s what athletes wear when they want to feel like they belong to something bigger than themselves. We operate on a print-on-demand model, so production is handled — what we need is elite design. You’ll work directly with the Founder and collaborate across the team to build a visual identity that athletes actually want to wear.
What You’ll Work On
— Design athletic logos, wordmarks, and brand marks that carry weight on apparel
— Develop patterns, graphics, and repeating motifs for tees, hoodies, hats, and more
— Create collections and seasonal concepts aligned with our mission and athlete identity
— Prepare print-ready files optimized for print-on-demand production
— Collaborate with the marketing team to design social media assets, campaign graphics, and branded content
— Build mood boards and design concepts for Founder review
— Maintain brand consistency across apparel and digital assets
— Research trends in sport, streetwear, and athletic branding to inform direction
What We’re Looking For
— Strong graphic design experience with an athletic aesthetic — a portfolio is required
— Proven ability to design logos, patterns, and graphics for apparel (not just digital)
— Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
— Familiarity with print-on-demand file specs and requirements
— A genuine passion for sport culture, athlete identity, and apparel
— Strong visual instincts — you know what looks good on a body, not just a screen
— Self-directed — you bring concepts, not just executions
— Bonus: experience designing for sportswear, streetwear, or athletic brands
Why This Role
This isn’t spec work. Your designs go into production and into the hands of real athletes. The better your work performs, the more you earn — this role includes a revenue share tied directly to apparel sales. Design something athletes want to wear, and you get paid when they buy it. That’s a different kind of portfolio piece.
This role is available for college credit and/or revenue share of apparel line. It’s also structured for a designer who wants skin in the game — not just a line on a resume, but a real stake in what they build.
Perfect for Spring/Summer Internship Requirements.
