Job Summary

We are looking for a YouTube Media Producer who not only brings strong production experience, but who genuinely understands and aligns with our culture, audience, and mission.

This role is critical in producing compelling long-form YouTube content that resonates with Veterans, Service Members, and patriotic audiences. The right candidate will bring a blend of creative vision, operational excellence, and cultural authenticity.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Production Planning

• Lead all pre-production efforts including scripting support, logistics, location planning, and talent coordination
• Coordinate with military Public Affairs Offices (PAOs) and base leadership to secure access and approvals
• Build detailed production plans, schedules, and resource requirements

Production Execution

• Direct and manage on-location shoots, leading crews, vendors, and talent
• Make real-time decisions in dynamic environments to keep productions on track
• Ensure high-quality capture while maintaining brand standards and storytelling integrity

Production Management & Operations

• Oversee timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
• Identify risks, solve problems proactively, and ensure efficient execution
• Maintain organization and visibility across all stages of production

Post-Production & Delivery

• Partner with editors and post teams to guide narrative, pacing, and final output
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to ensure high-quality, engaging content
• Ensure final deliverables are optimized for YouTube performance and audience retention

YouTube Publishing & Performance

• Own publishing of content to YouTube, including titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and upload optimization
• Monitor video performance (views, retention, engagement) and identify trends and opportunities
• Report on key metrics and provide actionable insights to improve future content and channel growth

Education And Skill Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in media production
• 3+ years producing long-form YouTube content
• 3+ years managing productions or production teams
• Military experience required — ability to credibly engage with military personnel, leadership, and environments
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize effectively without sacrificing quality
• Strong working knowledge of YouTube platform dynamics, including audience engagement, retention strategies, thumbnails/titling collaboration, and content optimization
• High level of ownership, accountability, and adaptability — comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities can shift
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work/Physical Requirements

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events.

• Travel Requirements: At least 50%
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting is required.
• Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
• Ability to work in a confined area.
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
