What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Conduct comprehensive patient interviews to collect accurate information and verify it using online software
• Schedule outpatient appointments and ensure patients are informed of necessary information for their exams
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtaining authorizations and referrals as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide exemplary customer service by answering phones and interacting with patients and staff

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of previous registration and/or insurance verification experience
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must be available for scheduled work shifts, including potential changes during training

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Bilingual in English and another language
• Experience in a healthcare setting or with patient scheduling
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD coding
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to accept constructive feedback
