POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President (VP) of Sales & Marketing is a senior executive role with direct accountability for achieving revenue targets, meeting and exceeding sales goals, and driving profitable growth across all channels and markets. This leader owns the company’s sales performance and is responsible for building, executing, and optimizing strategies that consistently deliver quota attainment, sustained revenue growth, expanded market share, and improved channel profitability.

The VP of Sales & Marketing provides strategic and operational leadership to Sales and Marketing, ensuring that clear targets are established, performance is measured rigorously, and results are delivered. The successful candidate will be highly data-driven, results-focused, and experienced in leading teams against aggressive growth objectives. In addition to guiding strategy, the VP will actively drive execution, remove barriers to performance, and personally engage in strategic, high-value sales opportunities when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Revenue & Sales Performance Ownership

• Own and deliver company-wide sales targets, including annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue goals.
• Establish clear sales quotas, KPIs, and performance benchmarks across all Sales and Marketing teams.
• Drive consistent pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, and closing performance to ensure predictable revenue results.
• Monitor sales performance daily and implement corrective actions to address gaps against targets.

Sales & Marketing Strategy Execution

• Develop and lead the execution of integrated sales and marketing strategies that directly support revenue growth, margin improvement, and financial objectives.
• Align go-to-market strategies, pricing, promotions, and channel programs to maximize sales effectiveness and closing ratios.
• Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities through market expansion, product positioning, channel optimization, and strategic partnerships.
• Continuously evaluate competitors, market trends, and customer needs to maintain competitive advantage and sales momentum.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Lead, mentor, and hold accountable senior sales and marketing leaders for achieving quota and performance commitments.
• Build high-performing, goal-oriented teams through targeted recruiting, training, coaching, and retention strategies.
• Foster a strong performance culture focused on execution, accountability, results, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure sales training, tools, and processes are aligned with achieving higher close rates and quota attainment.

Data, Metrics & Reporting

• Establish and maintain robust sales dashboards and analytics to track revenue, pipeline health, conversion rates, and market performance.
• Deliver clear and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports to the Executive Team.
• Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, optimize sales execution, and adjust strategies quickly.

Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with the General Manager and Executive Team to align sales targets with broader company objectives, budgets, and growth plans.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Product, and Customer Support to ensure sales commitments are executable and scalable.
• Provide strategic insight and recommendations based on performance trends, market data, and financial outcomes.

EDUCATION

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; bachelor’s degree required

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Sales and/or Marketing, with demonstrated revenue growth success
• Minimum 10 years in senior leadership roles with direct responsibility for sales targets and quotas
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue and growth goals

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated success driving revenue, managing quotas, and leading teams to achieve sales targets
• Strong executive leadership, decision-making, and accountability skills
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities
• Advanced analytical and financial acumen with comfort interpreting sales metrics and forecasts
• High proficiency with CRM systems, analytics tools, and performance reporting
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed

• Primarily on-site at the Niles, Illinois facility
• Office and manufacturing environment
• Travel required to customers and trade show attendance
