Job Title: Footwear Planner – E-commerce Division
Job Brief
We are seeking a Footwear Planner for the company’s E-commerce business. This individual will work with the Senior Director of Merchandising on developing seasonal buys, actively monitor and analyze sales, oversee balancing inventory in-season, and perform as-needed planning tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in planning, with E-commerce/Omni channel experience, preferably within footwear. They should demonstrate a willingness continuously learn from experts in the field within the organization in order to further develop their expertise. Our ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. This role also requires proficiency in excel, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should be organized, efficient, self-motivated, and be capable of managing a variety of projects at once.
Responsibilities
Partner with Senior Director of Merchandising to develop seasonal buys that aligned with product strategies, while achieving sales, margin, and inventory targets. Continuously, forecast the business based on evolving strategies and market climate.
Translate merchandising and buying strategy into cohesive buys, layering on seasonality, promotional cadence, and size runs, down to the UPC level across our ecommerce and marketplace channels.
Transform buys into purchase orders, manage flow of goods and monitor inbound inventory to ensure an accurate forecast of delivery dates.
Analyze business performance across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal timeframes, comparing result to projections to identify wins, risks, and opportunities; deliver high-level recaps and actionable insights including markdown/promotional, and lifecycle strategies.
Lead forecasting, replenishment programs, and inventory across multiple channels, both pre-season and in-season. Supporting the preparation and maintenance of annual and quarterly budgets, and in-season reforecasts.
Requirements
3-5 years planning experience, with the ability to demonstrate comparable knowledge and skills.
3-5 years of experience in the retail and/or E-commerce industry, ideally with footwear-specific / sized goods experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of planning, retail math, e-commerce, data analysis and forecasting techniques.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail with a capacity to multitask, problem solve and address various aspects of the business simultaneously and efficiently.
Strong communication and organizational skills to ensure proper management of all pending projects.
Thrive in a self-motivating atmosphere, while promoting team collaboration.
Be willing to put in extra hours when needed, to meet key deadlines.
Hybrid schedule four days in office with remote work on Friday
