II. Position Overview
The Vice President of Digital Transformation is responsible for formulating and driving the company’s overarching digital strategy, leveraging technological innovation and business integration to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and capabilities in business model innovation. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to deeply integrate data and technology with business operations, thereby realizing the enterprise’s long-term growth and competitive advantage. III. Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop the enterprise digital transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall corporate strategy.
Identify digital opportunities (automation, data analytics, AI applications, etc.) and drive their implementation.
Establish mechanisms for prioritizing transformation initiatives and assessing Return on Investment (ROI).
2. Technology and Platform Development
Drive the upgrade of core technology architecture (Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI, IoT, etc.).
Lead the integration of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Supply Chain systems, etc.).
Ensure the scalability, security, and stability of technology platforms.
3. Data-Driven and Analytics Capabilities
Establish an enterprise-wide data governance framework and data asset management mechanisms.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Develop Business Intelligence (BI) and advanced analytics capabilities.
4. Business Process Optimization
Drive the digitalization and automation of key business processes.
Introduce Lean Management and Agile methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Redesign the customer journey and digital experience.
5. Organizational and Cultural Transformation
Cultivate digital talent and team capabilities (data, technology, product management, etc.).
Foster cross-functional collaboration and a culture of innovation.
Establish digital performance indicators (KPIs) and incentive mechanisms.
6. External Collaboration and Ecosystem Building
Establish partnerships with technology vendors, consulting firms, and startups.
Monitor industry digital trends and best practices.
Promote open innovation and ecosystem collaboration.
IV. Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
MBA or a relevant management degree is preferred.
Work Experience
20+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in digital transformation or IT leadership roles.
Proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale digital projects (ERP/CRM/Data Platforms).
Familiarity with specific industries (e.g., Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy, Finance) is preferred.
