Wilson Appliance is seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting and installing appliances to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, heavy lifting, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans throughout the Champlain Valley.
Applicant must be able to lift heavy weights, have a clean driving record and have some mechanical skills. Guaranteed 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime and advancement. Monday -Friday 7am-3:30 shifts with overtime available and occasional Saturday hours. Applicant should have good people skills and be reliable. Our deliveries are made with 2-person teams. Overtime, tips, benefits, paid time off, retirement plan and opportunities for advancement are available. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various products and equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Apply within at 795 Route 3 in Plattsburgh.
Responsibilities:
– Perform installations of products and equipment at customer locations
– Conduct heavy lifting as needed during installations
– Utilize box trucks for transportation
– Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly
– Communicate effectively with customers and team members
– Utilize commercial driving skills for efficient transportation
– Operate pallet jacks, hand carts and shoulder dollys for moving equipment
– Handle manual transmission vehicles with proficiency
Experience:
– Previous experience in installation or a related field is preferred
– Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
– Experience with box trucks is a plus
– Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
– Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices
– Experience using pallet jacks for material handling
